All About Giving

You don’t have to be a Carnegie or a Rockefeller to be a philanthropist. When you give a dollar to a needy person on the street, donate used clothing, or volunteer a helping hand to an organization providing services, you practice philanthropy.
Giving through the Community Foundation is easy. You may donate cash, stock, or other securities including life insurance or other assets. You can make deferred gifts through bequests, charitable annuities, charitable trusts, IRAs or other retirement funds. We understand that your gift decision may involve some planning, and the staff and board of the Community Foundation are always ready to answer your questions and work with you to tailor your gift to your specific situation.
