Cartersville-Bartow Community Foundation

Building Futures in Cartersville and Bartow County

The mission of the Cartersville-Bartow Community Foundation is to “enhance the quality of life in Bartow County and the surrounding area for both current and future generations.” The Foundation is a proud member of the Community Foundation of Northwest Georgia and a public 501(c)(3) non-profit charity.

Created in 2001 to promote philanthropy throughout Cartersville and Bartow County, Foundation assets have grown from just $17,000 to over $400,000 in the just two years.

It is both a grant making and endowment building organization - working directly with individuals, businesses and the non-profit community to promote charitable giving and increase the financial resources available for use now and in the future.

Put simply, the Foundation is a collection of Funds, both designated and unrestricted, many of which are permanent endowments. These funds provide resources to support charitable activities. Grants can be made to groups working locally, regionally and even internationally.

The Foundation invests and manages these funds in perpetuity, seeking to preserve and grow available resources for use now and in the future.
