It all started in 1998...
...when a few local philanthropists decided that Northwest Georgia needed a Community Foundation to help donors establish charitable funds and maximize the impact of their giving. Since then, we've grown. We now have three geographic affiliates led by local leadership in Dalton, Cartersville, and Calhoun. We manage over 189 charitable funds for individuals, families, and nonprofit organizations. We've made over $44 million in grants. Most of all, we've helped change the world one grant at a time.
Our mission is to promote and facilitate charitable giving. We magnify giving and make it easier for our donors to do good. We work with area charities so they can make a positive impact. We proudly support Northwest Georgia and that means healthier, happier, more successful people.
